Concert by the Czech Philharmonic will be the highlight of the so-called Czech Week in London. Czech Week in London will commemorate the centenary of Czechoslovakia and the modern Czech statehood as well as the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Prague Spring. During the Week, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London will introduce a variety of the best achievements of Czech art, science and industry.
Czech Philharmonic will perform on Wednesday 24th October 2018 at 7 pm under the leadership of one of today’s most distinguished orchestral and operatic conductors Mr. Semyon Bychkov. The Orchestra will be joined by the world-renowned cello-soloist Ms. Alisa Weilerstein. The Orchestra will be playing compositions by two of the most recognised Czech composers Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana. The Concert will take place in the Royal Academy of Music´s intimate Duke´s Hall, providing a special atmosphere for all the guests to enjoy the music fully.
